  1. I want to sanitize my water system and I have read about bleach and hydrogen peroxide. Which one is the best to use?
  2. We have a 2007 Monacho Diplomat in the AZ heat. I installed a portable 10,000 BTU AC unit and vented it out a window. I heard a humming sound coming from the Inverter Bay and when I looked I saw a square wall mounted component that sounds like a fan but I don't detect air movement. Does anyone know what it is?
  3. Aladdin System

A friend purchased a 2006 Beaver and it has the Aladdin system installed. The system has a display and controls in the cockpit area but also has the toggle switch near the kitchen sink. We can not figure out why the second toggle control is located in the kitchen area where the display is not visible. The over head TV above the cockpit is visible from the second location but we can't find any indication that it may be used as a display. Ideas?
  4. We have a 2007 Monaco Diplomat that won't start. Start batteries are good. Power is present at the ON/Off switch to the Patio Awning. The electric step will not retract when retract switch is activated with door open or closed. With the key engaged to start the drive engine or in ACC mode nothing happens. No dash lights or instruments are powered up. Any ideas?
  5. After cleaning the drain is it advisable to use a drain cleaner to keep soap scum/hair out of the drain as a periodic maintenance item? Thanks
  6. Slide Topper Cleaning

Over time the area where the topper rolls into has retained debris i.e. pine needles, how do you clean out that area, same problem with the awning also. Thanks for any info.
  7. Empty Weight

We have a 2007 Monaco Diplomat and wondering where to find the empty weight for licensing purposes. They are asking for the unloaded weight. Thank you
  8. Speedometer Error Code

It is a Beede instrument and the latest from Monaco, not fixable.... UGH Glad we have the extended waranty as it will need RR to another compatible unit. I am told by our local Monaco expert RV dealership they have done them in the past. Thanks for the information.
  9. Speedometer Error Code

Yes Rich everything else is working, I am calling Monaco with the VIN.
  10. Full Timing

We are selling our house and plan on full timing for a few years. Can someone explain the method and benefits of establishing residency in South Dakota? We would like to take necessary steps this June.
  11. Speedometer Error Code

I drove our 2007 Monaco Diplomat to fuel it up and noticed an error code 1 in the odometer window. Any ideas on what this means? All info is appreciated.
  12. Sani Con System

If I understand you Ray, you don't disconnect the 3" hose from the main black/gray discharge valve wye except when you use the Polychute for extended stays. I guess leaving it hooked up while traveling, valves off would work, eleminating one potential spill. The Monaco manual does say disconnect and stow Sani Con hose. I do have a cap for it also. Will try your process next time. Thanks to all.
  13. Sani Con System

I have tried to use the Sani Con system on our 07 Monaco Diplomat but always seems to be messy. I have tried different ways to use it and I can never get it drained completely which turns into a mess. How do I get the 3" hose which attaches the black/gray discharge valves to the macerator drained? After numerous attempts each time I disconnect it there is water/waste still there which drains into the compartment or on the ground. YUCK
  14. Air E Brake Release

    THANKS for the info!
  15. Air E Brake Release

We took a trip in our 2007 Monaco Diplomat to the North Coast of Ca over Thanksgiving. It was a very wet and muddy trip, rain from Fort Bragg to our home near Sacramento. Lots of spray from traffic on I5 etc. Parked the coach at our inside storage and let it sit for a little over a week. Yesterday while staff was bringing the coach out for a bath, the E brake would not release. Over the phone I told them to dump the tanks, check for water in the air tanks, verify the leveling system had not accidentally been activated and cycle the Trans a few times. They called back and said everything was in proper condition and said they had gotten the E brake to release by nudging the throttle. They said they could hear the E brakes release and the nudge moved the coach. What should I do after a wet ride and is it possible that some corrosion to the brakes happened? Confused about this.
