  1. Black Tank Pressure Cleaning

Carl, I had a blog about Gray Tanks but alot of people read it but no suggestions. I have 6 gallon hot water heater. So If I empty the whole tank into gray tank, how much dawn would you think is enough . I would drive to next camping location and drop tank, when I arrive. Food and grease would break up and drain. Tim
  2. Hamming on the Road from KE3HAY

  3. MPG or who cares

OhioLegend I have 32 ft Winnebago Itasca Cambria 2014 Class C. Ford v-10 with the Ford Transmission. ? 5 speed. I Drive with full tank of water , propane full and full tank of fuel 55 Gallons. I also pull a HHR with a golf cart Criket sw-3 in car. I have read some reviews on Ford v-10 and the best posted in them is 8.8 mpg NOW, the real info. My speed is limited to no more than 65 mph because of trans in car. So I drive to displace on coming wind which determines speed The v-10 likes to crank upward to 5300 rpm, in a lower gear when it tries to stay at 63 mph while climbing grades, a way to defeat this is take it out of over drive put it in toll haul decrease speed to 57-59 mph it will cruise at 2400 rpm best gas mileage. No cruise control at this time. The only thing is after getting out of the hills go back to overdrive, and cruise. I really believe we are also somewhere 6- to 8 mpg. So 55 gallon of gas 60 mph 330 miles 5 hours driving. SEE, we are retired, no clocks, one tank of gas, tomorrow is another day. Take some time enjoy the ride. SO RUN OUT OF GAS GET MORE GAS. Tim r
  4. Black Tank Pressure Cleaning

Brian Buy the following parts Get a little shut off for water hose lst part "Note it should be able to rotate" Attach a fitting to a 3 ft piece of plastic 3/4 pipe to join to the shutoff 2nd part At the end of the 3/4 pipe attach a 3/4 street L 3rd part Put a 3/4 plastic cap on the end of the 3/4 street L 4th part Drill a 1/4 inch hole at the base of the cap. So you will have a home made pressure washer 3/4 pipe to a 1/4 stream of high Volume water. Lay the end of the pipe at the bottom of tank. Open Black tank valve so water can leave. And flush to clean water only runs out of opening The home made wand can be rotate to cover 360 degrees in the holding take by entrance to toilet. I use the same device to pressure wash under my motorhome. Tim
  5. Road Salt and the RV

Bill Is there anything that could be used to neutralize the damage that is cause to rusting? Great thought your reply, and one would maybe take a look at the undercarriage to inspect . BUT, is there a product to use to neutralize SALT, or the solution the turnpikes spray on road and dries to white trace on the road surface. That powder left on the road ends up coating the undercarriage. Wildebill308, thank for reply. Tim

  9. "I BREAK DOWN IN THE DRIVEWAY, NOT ON THE HIGHWAY." The most important thing is a check of the system before departing any trip. Tim Winnebago Itasca Cambria Class C 2014 I started camping on the ground. We are all people First.
  10. Desulfator for Batteries

Was wondering in reading this, how much replacement distilled water can be added to a battery before you have added to much, Do you have to be concern of watering down the contents of the battery? I used maintain battery chargers over the winter. So what would be a max amount of water that can be added to a battery to make sure you cover the plates. I have used about a half gallon of replacement distilled water in two 12 volt coach battery's. Tim F405095 Class C Winnebago 2014

  15. 2000 Jayco 283G Front Shocks

I owned a Jayco 283G 2001, I would very seriously have the brakes check on the E-450 they must check to see if the slides the pads ride on are not clean. A brake hanging up on the front end will make it drift. Brake dust build up is all it takes to make them not to release. I had them check every oil change. Ask your Ford Service department to explain to you, I agree with all other comments made add tire air check to the list also. Lets all be safe. Tim F405095
