Looking for a nice state park near New Orleans.

I have a 40 ft coach.

Thanks.

We have a 38 footer and stayed at the Fountaine Bleau State park, no problem with the 40'. It is in Mandeville, LA. It is located on the other side of the lake but a great place. There is a lot to do around the park, Abeta brewery, antique stores, great resturants, historic sites and then there is New Orleans. It is about a 30 minute drive to New Orleans though. Highly recommended

I second the nomination for Fountaine Bleau. Great!

We have stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park in WESTWEGO LA. It is just south of the Mississippi, and the campground will give you directions to a free ferry into New Orleans, Very nice park. Check with the park before going, because it may be closed due to damage from hurricane Issac.
