I am planning a trip across the Canadian Rocky Mountains and I will be traveling from Kamloops to Hope in BC. I see there is a new road, (from the last time I drove this route in 1973) Coquihalla Highway down to Hope. On the map it appears much nicer that the TCH-1. Will I miss a lot of scenery if I select route 5 over the TCH? I notice it looks much shorter also. I am 40' and with TOAD.

We are just starting to look into BC as a place to RV. Hubby loves the Rockies and the more wilderness the better. I hope you get answers to your question, it would be of interest to us as well!
