View new content does not work on my iPad unless I sign out. Then I have to sign back in and find the topic to be able to comment.

I have not been able to duplicate that problem on the iPad.
On the New content page, are you sure you are clicked on "Forums" and "Content I have not read"? Click the thumbnail image below.

I have had this problem in the past myself. 
I found that sometimes I was not logged in. Other times I just logged out. Backed out of the site and started over. FMCA click, sign in, done, Forums, click, view new contents click and there we go.

When I sign out, VIEW NEW CONTENT works. When I see a topic I want to comment on, I have to sign in, find the topic by subject matter. Now view new content does not work again.
