Great Place! We got there every April/May for the last 5 years. It really isn't that expensive. I hear people paying $100 per night in a fish camp. PTJeff.....we cured the problem of stuffiness. We invited folks on other sites to a "Meet & Greet cocktail party" 8 couples came by to shake hands, share a laugh & a beverage. It broke the ice & everyone was much more friendly after that.

All good advice, but let's start at the source. Before you hook up your hose to the water connection at a c.g., Carry a small spray bottle with bleach & spray the spigot liberally before you connect your freshwater hose! Too many times I've seen someone dump their holding tanks, then disconnect their drain hose & proceed to slip it onto the water spigot in attempt to rinse out their waste hose. Sanitize that spigot first!

Hanko....check again. I just purchased a 2012 Astoria 36MQ & it has ( as do all Astorias) 380 Hp, 800 ft/#'s torque ISB (6.7) I'll be taking delivery tomorrrow. If interested.....I'll keep ya posted on how things go.

Check your owners manual. I don't think the Wrangler can be towed on a dolly.

My wife metal detects from time to time. She picked up the hobby from a friend who's an avid detector. Wife's still learning, but has a good time with it.

Many pull-through sites are not long enough to accomodate a MH & trailer (or 4-down toad) connected.

Ha Ha Ha! I can just see it now....fast forward to May 2nd, 2010. Me & DW are at Bluewater Key. The sun is shining, a gentle island breeze is blowing, there's some mellow steel drum music playing. DW looks into her glass to raise a toast, Ahhhh, Life is good! Suddenly, she realizes there's a spider in the middle of her ice cube!!!!!!!!

For the icemaker, I disconnected both the line in & out of the solenoid. (Closing the petcock on the "in" (feed) line first). The line out of the solenoid gravity drained. I hope that with both lines disconnected, any water that remained in the solenoid can expand with the freeze. I'll let you know in a week or so (when I de-winterize) if my assumption was a success. There is an offical winterizing procedure for the icemaker, but it's pretty thorough. if you want me to copy the procedure from my O&M Manuals, let me know. As far as the toilet, while mine isn't electric, I camp overnight on New Years Eve. In order to not break full winterization, I simply use jugs of water when flushing the toilet. Then, I empty the black tank.

That's what the solenoid looks like in mine. I know because I had to replace it last spring. Freezing overnight temps snuck up on me before I could winterize.

Yep, remove them both & your hubcap should come off. Like I mentioned, they shouldn't be too tight ( I hope not) Good Luck!

I'm not sure if this is how yours are, but mine go like this......If you look closely at the lug "covers", 2 will have a little slotted line pressed into them. These are the lug/covers that retain the "hubcap". You may have a little T handled socket to remove them. If not, just use the appropriate sized socket. They shouldn't be too tight. I hope this helps!

Perhaps you have a situation similar to mine. I have Tiffin's infamous "Singing Grill". (Although you don't have a grill, correct?) You must have air blowing in somewhere, so the ole' tape trick is in order!

I was once hit by two teenagers in a golf cart. I was walking my dogs and the cart came whipping around the corner, hitting me. It knocked me over & I had a bruise on my leg, that's about it. The CG staff removed the family. Ironically, my dogs (black labs) wear red blinking lights when we walk at night. Original intention was so people (walking) wouldn't be surprized or frightened when they got close & realized I had 2 large dogs. In this case, the cart rounded the corner so fast, the driver didn't react & hit me. I'm glad he didn't hit my dogs, they'd still be removing golf cart pieces from the guys behind! Many CG's prohibit bike riding at night. I think an inexpensive flashing light is a safe, acceptable alternative

I had the same problem some time ago in my Jayco Class C. Back then, someone suggested Oxy-Clean. I tried it & it didn't work. Then, Woolite carpet clean. No luck with that either. Only thing that worked was 50/50 bleach/water.

We stayed at the KOA on the right as soon as you enter the island. It wasn't too bad, but we were on a cramped site & it seemed like there was a recent seasonal roll-over in staff.

Wow! Alot of votes for the Baby Q & Roadtrip. I stood in Camping World a year ago for over an hour mulling over the grills. I bought the Olympian. PLENTY of heat for searing a steak. As a matter of fact, sometimes it's too-much heat. (Slow cooking ribs, etc.) But the Olympian is a decent size, cast aluminum & a compact size. I'd buy another if I had to.

Hello, Muck here. (Actually, Tim & Dar) We're from South Jersey, we still work, so we're weekend warriors. We travel with our 2 black labs, Bear & Buckshot, in our '08 Tiffin Allegro Bay. model 37 QDB, FRED chassis. We tow a '96 Jeep Cherokee. Our previous coach was an '03 Jayco Granite Ridge class C. Our interests include, Jeeping, hiking, geocaching,....basically anything outdoors.

Thanks for the Heads-Up. I, too recieved notification. I'll be taking my '08 Allegro Bay FRED in as soon as I break it out of winter storage. (Can't Wait!)
