  2. A/C outlets and returns are both up in the ceiling under that panel. There is about 4 inches between those items and I can see the filter media but can't reach that far to remove. Thanks
  3. A/C units are RVP 9000 series ..div of Airxcel Inc. Had a picture of ceiling shroud inserted on my original post thanks to FMCA tech person...No visible clips...
  4. I purchased a 2006 Country Coach Intrigue in January 2014 with three A/C units on the roof. I don't think any pm was done to the filters, so I'm looking as to how to accomplish this task. I can see the filters inside the coach up under the ceiling shroud (decorative panel), but I'm not sure how to remove the ceiling panels to access them. No outside fasteners, so I'm thinking the chrome plastic panel is held in place by hidden plastic tree snaps, but I don't want to pull too hard on the panel. Am I going in the correct direction for removal to clean?

    Tag Axle Tires

    The tag axle is on its own non drive axle. Would it be acceptable to purchase an alternate brand tire of the same size and almost exactly the same rolling diameter and width? This is based on cost alone and availability???
  7. Thanks for the advise. I looked at isolating the base but the left side bolt flanges are trapped under a sheet metal shelf and any increase in height would require a rework of that retainer shelf. There doesn't seem to be a simple solution to this noise problem. The unit is hard mounted to a steel shelf and therefore makes a good sounding board. Poor design in my opinion. Haven't given up yet...need to look at other options. A new unit is out of the question. Too bad the remote system does't have a feature to turn on/off the charger at specific times. I don't need the charger on during the night or early morning. I do this manually now with the remote to stop the noise.
  8. Both good ideas...will take a good look at both. However, it seems a shame to spend that much money on a upper end coach and have to modify a battery charger that's built in.
  9. Unit is mounted in bay above house batteries but not connected to interior wall. Volume of buzzing is enough to hear plainly outside the coach, especially with bay door open. I have been turning the charger off remotely at night, but this is only due to the noise. . Contacted Zantrex in February but they didn't offer any solutions only the unit is old and the transformer electrical plates are vibrating due to breakdown of the connecting varnish (glue). Due to the heat emitted by the inverter, I don't want to insulate totally.
  10. I purchased a 2006 Country Coach Intrigue in January 2014 and it has a RS2000 sine wave inverter/charger that buzzes 24/7 when plugged into 110 v power. I know the charger is working fine but the buzzing noise is very annoying. Any advice on how to reduce or eliminate the buzzing.
  11. Thanks for the info..a bad connection will be hard to isolate because all the interior lights are affected. I'll start the investigation and report.
  12. I have a 2001 Monaco LE 38' that when the furnace starts the 12 volt interior lights dim momentarily. According to the Monaco tech the latching relay in the left front basement electrical compartment was the culprit. I changed this and still have the problem. I'm connected to a 50 amp service. New batteries were installed 9 months ago because they were bad, so I know this isn't an issue. . I had to replace the blower motor in the furnace last week so I know that can't be the problem. I'm looking for a location to check the voltage drop other than the blower motor. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
  13. Thanks again for the help. Alignment will be done this month(found a local RV shop that will do the work). Also talked to Sheppard steering gear tech guy and he said that low pressure from the power steering pump would only cause hard steering. Looks like a new tire is in order prior to the alignment so on goes the quest to motor down the highway safely.
  14. Thanks for the quick response. Alignment was done with new tires ,12,000 miles on them now but this has been an issue since I purchased 3 years ago. Tire wear is very unusual. Right front indicates very low tire pressure for a long time, I know this isn't true because I check all of them before every trip. However, upon coming to Arizona a few days ago I stopped at a truck tire replacement shop (that"s all they do) and the owner looked at the tire and suggested the alignment was bad. That being said, what about low power steering pressure as indicated by the Freightliner dealer? The Sheppard M110 steering gear has lot of travel (about 2") at the steering wheel. Alignment wont affect this in any way. It will still be there regardless. Isn't this what's causing the wandering in cross-winds and when a semi passes me at highway speeds? I'm lost with this situation and don't mind spending the necessary money to correct but what should I repair first? Alignment is the least expensive if I can find a good shop that will do a complete front/rear alignment. My Engineering background is not answering these simple questions.
  15. I've had steering issue with my 2001 38' Monaco for over a year. According to a reputable Freightliner dealer in Las Vegas I have a low pressure issue with the power steering pump causing the coach to wander in cross winds. The pump is attached to the right side of the Cummings engine and is hard to remove (approx 5 hours labor) and the pump is expensive (in stock at Monaco). Has anyone had similar problems with this pump with only 50,000 miles?? Nowhere can I find any info about the pump(adjustable,rebuildable or available anywhere else) Please advise...I'm in Lake Havasu Az. and don't want to drive home with this condition.
