My OEM Leece-Neville DUVAC alternator failed on 4500 mile trip in rural Kansas. Had it replaced with non-DUVAC L-N 110-555JHC by diesel mechanic.
The dash alt. trouble light and buzzer came on after new alt. installed and the mechanic ran 12VDC to wire controlling alt trouble light and it stayed off for about 2 hours then came back on.
The wiring connections are good and alt keeping battery at 13.8 volts with small and large loads.
Is there a way to make the non-DUVAC alt work so the trouble light stays off?
