  1. Pat and Ron, I'm very glad that you had a great time and that you attended the driving school. I remember you and that Herman assisted you with the electrical problem. I was one of the guys on the parking team that was stationed at the GG lot while the driving school was in session. It was nice getting to assist all the driving school attendees when they moved their coaches to the driving school and returned to their camp sites. We got to know quite a few of the folks attending the school. This was my first convention also, and I'm looking forward to going to West Springfield this summer.
  2. You are welcome. And I agree that the meet and greet was nice. Being new to the forum, I got to meet several folks who were very welcoming.
  3. Perry was my first FMCA convention and I had a great time. Prior to leaving for Georgia, I asked about volunteering and Herman responded to my request with information on just who to contact at the office, which was Doug at FMCA's office. So, I ended up being assigned to the parking team and worked directly with Herman. Although being on the parking team was at times, hard work, it was very rewarding and I got to work with, and get to know some great people. I highly recommend volunteering at the events. Looking forward to August!
  4. Well, it's getting close to the Family Reunion. I did contact Doug some time ago and he got me set up with the parking crew. So, we leave on Friday with a stopover north of Atlanta for the night. Then, it's on to Perry Saturday to get the coach set up at the advanced lot with the parking team. Really looking forward to attending this convention; after working with the parking crew, of course!
  5. The Tiffin Breeze model can be serviced by Freightliner and the 2015 models have a Navistar Maxxforce engine. Starting with the 2016 model year, the breeze will have a Cummins diesel engine instead of the Maxxforce. It is a definite improvement and the new Breeze models are just now starting to appear at dealerships. As far as the Tiffin brand is concerned, they build a quality coach and stand behind their products.
  6. Herman, thanks for posting the info concerning the forum meeting on Thursday. I look forward to meeting you and everyone else. Bob
  7. Thanks for the replies and the information. I will call Doug tomorrow and also send an email to Maxine.
  8. Hi all; I have registered for the convention in Perry and it will be the first one that we have attended. We've been members since 1993 and finally decided to go to a family reunion. We have received our confirmation package with all the enclosed information. We will report on Wednesday for parking in the 30 amp section. My question is this: I indicated on the registration that I would like to volunteer and would prefer helping out with parking, safety or security. I noticed that there is a section for parking that is dedicated for volunteers. To date, I have not heard anything about being assigned to volunteer at Perry. Does someone contact those who want to volunteer, or are all the positions filled already. Or, should I just show up early and either go to the holding area or the volunteer parking area. Thanks Bob
