  1. At ZGLASS we frequently see windshields that are partially separated from the RV frame due to bumps, frame shifts or even the vacuum of a passing truck. This is a troubling event for RV owners who often must temporarily secure the glass until getting professional help in resetting or replacement. The problem arises when duct tape, or other high adhesive tapes are used. After a short time, the adhesive becomes stubbornly transferred to the RV frame. Glass shops must remove this residue, often taking hours using harsh chemicals and potentially adding hundreds of dollars of cost to the RV owner. We have found that using glass molding retention tape offers the same securement and is readily removed without leaving the nasty and difficult adhesive residue. We provide this tape or RV owners may be able to get it from a local glass shop. Doug Rasmussen
