  1. Just be ready for an exciting ride. The problem is that for a stable tow, the front end geometry is not correct for it to be towed backwards. The toe, caster and camber are all set for the vehicle to be stable when moving in the forward direction. If you have a locking steering wheel that can present another problem. 

     

     


  2. Bill, that Blue Ox 4325 model was discontinued several years ago for this reason. The aluminum shafts developed metal fatigue until they snapped. Blue Ox then redesigned the towbar with steel shafts and finally completely discontinued the aluminum towbar.  Shame on the OP for not having a supplemental braking system with a breakaway feature for the toad. He is lucky that the toad didn't collide with another vehicle.
