  1. Thanks for all the replies. That is lot of great information. I will definitely check out the web site rvservicereviews Thanks to all of you.
  2. We have been full timing for about 3 years. As we travel around the country, we have trouble finding quality maintenance service for our Motorhome. Someone suggested using Camping World for service as they have locations everywhere. We would like to hear others experiences with CW service. What are some alternatives? Thanks.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into that.
  4. Looking for a security system for a class A motorhome that will notify me by cell phone if my motorhome door is opened while the alarm is active and I am away. Any thoughts.
  5. We travel in a 2010 Damon Challenger 371. Typically we see about 7 mpg when towing a Saturn Ion. When not towing we have seen 8 mpg but that is with a tail wind.
  6. My wife and I have just sold our stick house and will be going "on the road" at the end of October. We have been wintering in our 2010 Damon Challenger for the last few years spending about 6 months each time. We are both really physced with the change in our status. We are still in the process of clearing our "stuff". Our house sold in two weeks which we didn't expect but were happy it came so fast. Really looking forward to the full timer lifestyle.
  7. Thanks for the response. I also checked with Dicor Corporation and they said basically the same thing, that if the old sealant is loose remove it but if there are just cracks in it you can just seal over it. Thanks again for the response.
  8. When you are resealing areas of your roof on a Class A, is it necessary or adviseable to remove all of the old sealant first? If sealant must be removed what is the easiest way to do that?
  9. We purchased out 2010 Callenger new from General RV in Canton Ohio. We finally did take the coach back to the factory in Elkart for repair. They found a problem with the bolts on the rear of the large slide and replaced them as well as reinforcing the steel back there. We have not had any further problems. I have to tell you that the folks at the service center for Thor Motor Coach did a great job and couldn't have been more hospitable. They were exceptional. It did take them two tries but I believe that they got it this time. Hats off to that group. Thanks for responding and happy travels.
  10. Has anyone with a Damon Challenger experienced cable problems with the larger slides? We have broken one cable in the first year and have been having recurring problems getting the large slide in and out.

Thanks to all for your input. Looks like I will be staying put for now. Maybe look into those dually valves.

    Tires

Recently purchased a motorcoach and was told by several tire service dealers as well as the Motorcoach dealer that valve stem extensions were not a good idea as they have real problems with them leaking. Looking at the valve stems on the rear dual wheels, it look like a major chore to check air presure let alone add air on the road. Most service stations don't have the air chuck with the reverse fittings to access the rear duals. Any ideas?
