Last time I saw a Braves baseball game was the final game of the World Series at County Stadium in Milwaukee, WI. I sat right behind the first base dugout and read a book. My father was a "bit upset" with his bookworm son. What? 1957?

I had a police officer tell me: "We will protect you----as soon as we get there."
They do an admirable job but they cannot be everywhere all the time. You must be aware at all times of the situation around you and do whatever is necessary to minimize your risks. Any type of protection is better than none at all.
As someone once said: "A nice peaceful dove is an easier meal than a hawk." or something to that effect.
