  1. On the 2001 Suncuiser I previously owned, the check valves were accessible at the back of the water heater by crawling into the adjoining basement compartment. There are two check valves, one on the inlet, another on the outlet.

Was a tight maneuver but doable...

As I recall they are inexpensive, like $20 or less each.

Like Herman said, I would check your seals. I ran into this problem a couple of years ago. It had been raining and I brought the slides in. well when I pulled forward off the spot it sloped down pretty bad. Well I got at least a quart of ice cold water down my neck and back. It felt more like 5 gallons. I now use the levelers to tilt the coach to drain the top of the slide before bringing it in.

    Bill

Yeah that's happened to me too, once or twice! 😁

  3. It's also possible that you have a leak in the roof top seam of your slide. Its possible for the water to leak behind cupboards and furniture and then come out onto the floor. This happened to me.

Would suggest you get the slides roof top seams resealed.

  4. Carl, yes, if we use a US dollar cc in Canada, we get the benefit of the current exchange rate which see's a discount which is something like 25 to 30% currently.  If we use our Canadian dollar cc's in the US, then we see the opposite, the current exchange rate see's us paying a surcharge of 25 to 30%.

We're heading south the end of next week. Got to get away from this cold weather. A slight change in plans, we decided to head further south in search of warmer weather so we're headed to Port Isabel Texas.  Will be there for January and February.  Then we're heading to Arizona for March to take in the sites and the FMCA convention in Tucson at the end of the month. We'll definitely need to plan to get together somewhere for a visit....

Thanks for all the response. I checked with cc company, they advised using the 3 numbers in the Canadian postal code and adding two zeros . Problem is that it doesn’t work, because there is no such zip code in the US. Only other solution that I’m aware of,  is to change address to a US mailing address.  Maybe I’ll just have to set up a “ blind” US mailing address during the time spent in the states. Guess I was just hopeful there might be an easier solution....

Garyd, your cc company has provided you with the correct solution and in fact it works just fine.  We use our Canadian issued visa and mastercard cc's everywhere in the US including for gas purchases at major retailers like Shell, Sunoco, RaceTrac, Walmart, and at many major truck stops like Petro, FlyingJ and Pilot.  When asked for our ZIP, we enter the 3 numbers from our postal code followed by 2 zeros.  We travel in the US frequently and  have not had a problem in any of the many states we visit in our travels.

I am not sure what is causing your issue but I don't think its the ZIP code work around.....IMHO....

Ian...we will be using a Palm tree in the yard for lights at Christmas, well be at the camp 123 miles South of San Antonio from 12/10 - 2/01/20 !  Feel free to frolic in the cold and snow, with a hot libation...I'll take the frosted mug & beer!

So far no snow here. I'm kind of hoping it stays that way until after we've hit the road but that's probably just wishful thinking.

We just purchased our first fifth wheel this summer, We want to get a cover for it and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on a brand to buy?

I don't necessarily have an opinion on which brand is better than another but if you go to  Amazon.com and search "RV Covers", you can choose from the multitude that are listed to fit your Fifth Wheel and budget accordingly.

Personally I don't use one but I do have several friends that swear by them.  Most have bought thru Amazon.
