If you take I-24 to I-57 you will avoid alot of the major city's. Buy the book 500 Things To Try Before You Go it will tell you about the best places to stop for the area food favorites. We've found the best places to stop from the Carolina's, New Orleans, Florida, everywhere. You won't be disappointed. But I-57 is the best the probably head out I-74 to I-39 if you want to avoid Chicago.

If you already are paying a monthly fee for alarm monitoring they should be able to add temperature, water, power failure sensor for reasonable if not free fee. I got rid of my alarm monitoring company with the monthly fees. I installed a system called Sensaphone it has a built in temp, power and microphone sensors. It is easy to self install, dials a variety of phone #'s you program, you can even call in to the unit and get updated that things are normal. It also has several add on equiptment for security. I have an IL license for motorcycle and Class A, which is normally what everyone get for cars. Check the back of your license -- the state of IL does have a weight restriction for Class A License, so check your weight class. X TO GO
