  1. Welcome to FMCA and the Forum. What you are suggesting is doable. What I would suggest is to find an RV Park in the Tucson area and when you are Parked go on the Grounds after Sunday noon. Take your packet you received with you and go to the office and ask to be down graded from 50 amp to Passport. A Passport give you everything except Parking on the Fairgrounds. What size holding tanks do you have? You should have at least 3 days if you go in with empty Gray and Black tanks and a full water tank. You have to conserve everything but it is doable with say one dump and one water fill. Granted you can't shower every day but hay a sponge bath and good a deodorant you should be good to go. Good Luck and again Welcome, Herman
  2. Yes Ray it will be closed until the 24th of May. The Round Bottom Warehouse has been in need of a new Roof for several years. They will have large equipment and materials to store. They will have a crane in to remove 5 air-conditioning units and then replace them when the new roof is done. Sorry for the inconvenience but it is something that has to be done. Herman
  3. We will be having a South Central Block Party on Thursday, bring a covered dish or what ever you want. I will post the location when I find out where. All are welcomed Herman
  4. Bill, Welcome to the Forum. What are you saying 'Mercury"? Again Welcome Herman
  5. Welcome to the Forum. You need to be a bit more specific. What kind of repairs on the slide? The make, model and year would also be helpful. Again Welcome, Herman
  6. Don, my coach have a gauge on the dash. Under a pull it will go up to 24 Inches. Herman

  8. My advice would be to find somewhere to volunteer. I got involved with FMCA and it fills my time and my wife's. I also volunteer at the local VA hospital. Both are very rewarding. Herman
  9. How is with it not having to shovel snow to go to work? Hope all is going good for you and Ronnie.

Bobbie and I are doing well. I am having two new 15,000 AC/Heat Pumps installed Friday.

I went to have the tech look the coach over to see if he had everything. All was well until I started to leave. The coach would not start. The starter just made a grinding  noise. I thought I may have had a stuck solenoid. When I got under the coach with a hammer to tap on the solenoid I found the starter was about to fall off. Two of the three bolts were missing and the third was barley hanging on. I tighten it and got home. I had to play the guessing game to come up with the size bolts I needed Because I could not pull the remaining bolt to match it up. I found the correct thread (1/2-20) but got it too short. It is in but not what I would like, I will get a half inch longer and I should be ready to go to Tucson on the 11th.

We may try to make Florida next winter, If so we will look you up

Herman, all is well down here. Loving the area and all the things to do. Every weekend is another festival of some sort! Strawberry season now, lots of those. Next is garlic festival, I was warned,, I’m not allowed to attend 😂. Then comes the seafood festivals 😋
look us up, we live in Port St Lucie, south end near Stuart Florida.
I need to update the AC’s on ours. Trying to plan some trips, haven’t done that yet, waiting on the snowbirds to leave.

the starter bolts is very strange unless not torqued right on the last installation. I’d take this opportunity to get rid of those 12 point bolts with  something else.

I plan on using Grade 8 with either lock tight or lock washers. Leaning towards washers since there is so much dirt and grease.

  10. Congratulations, happy for you. Herman
  11. To be honest I think this may be a bit of photo-opting. If you look close he is standing at the rear of vehicle (mud flat at the rear of the tire and those are tail lights not head lights). That would leave around 13 or 14 steering tires and how about the width of the thing. But at least it gives us something to talk about. Herman
  12. This is one fellow that could get his moneys worth from the FMCA Tire Program. Herman
  13. Do think he could get into a Park that required a picture due to age? Herman
  14. domano, My first thought was, "have you ever had your Turbo serviced? It sounds to me like you may have a sticking Waste Gate Valve. It would also help to know the year of you RV and make. Herman
  15. Merman Dan, Welcome to the Forum, Please take note that this is a 20 year old topic. You might get more response if you started a new post. Under General Discussion with a new title like "Resecting an Old Flexible" or "Polka Pickle". Just a thought. Herman
  16. Just thought I would share a thought while it is 21 degrees here in North Central Texas. Herman
  17. I don't think that would be advisable. They have different charging requirements and your inverter won't know the difference. Herman
  18. I would keep the AMGs since you are already set up for them and you said "I have a good set of 4 house batteries all AGM 6volt style" JMO. Herman
  19. I am sorry folks but Bill is not talking about Ft. Worth, Texas. Here in North Texas the temp had a high if 21 to day which feels like 8. Tomorrow it is suppose to be a steaming 41. Out comes the Bermuda Shorts. Herman
  20. Our Samsung RF-18 has been running for over 5 years with no problems. Is is on a Modified Sane Wave inverter. Herman
  21. WERE, if I remember you still have Frankie Lane on 8 track in your coach.😁 Herman
