  1. Any electronics store will have 12 VDC muffin fans. Using aluminum angle, you can easily fabricate a "frame" to hold them in place just above the "fins" at the top of the cooling unit. Install them from the roof or upper access panel exhausting up. Brett

    Tire Blowout Today

I have a Safari Simba and on a recent trip to MN. I had both tires on the right rear blow out' one had no air, which cause the other one to blow out. Coachnet found a tire service near Lamoni, Iowa ( We were really in the boondocks) who had two used tires which they changed on the side of the road. Two reasons for my comments, Coachnet really came through with expedited service. My tires were made in 04, but I only had 18,000 miles on them. On return to Alvin, I replaced all the tires, and all the valve stem extensions because they get old also
  3. Thanks Brett, I will look at all that, If I need more advice, I may call you. I live near Alvin.
  4. I have a 2006 Safari Simba with a Norcold 1200LRim Refrigerator. On my last trip, the freezer, & ice maker worked fine, but wouldn't cool down below, even with the temp. setting at the coldest (9). Same problem whether on gas or AC. I could hear it running, but the cooling fins in the main part just didn't get cold. House batteries were okay. Is this a grounding problem somewhere? Any ideas?
  5. Thank you for your quick support, However my valves appear to be unaccessible except through the floor above them. I guess that I will just let it drip. Thankfully its not the black tank.
  6. I have a 2006 Safari Simba. Gray water tanks leak even though valve is closed. Does it take a Rocket Scientist to change this valve?
  7. All suggestions listed are good. I have a Safari Simba with a 8.1-liter gas engine, with a no-wind mileage of 9 mpg. I can not tell any diiference in the mileage when using the dash AC, whereas the generator uses about 1 gal. per hour. Don't drive faster than 60 mph, don't accelerate rapidly, and be aware of traffic conditions to minimize the use of brakes.
