  1. We are full timers and are always hooked up to shorepower. I was told by the tech where I bought the motorhome that my chassis batteries do not get charged by my converter when plugged into shorepower. I believe this to be true because I had bad chassis batteries and the diesel wouldn't start when I was plugged into shorepower. I have replaced the chassis batteries and they are not losing their charge, with the old batteries in two days they were down enough that they wouldn't turn over the diesel.
  2. My 2006 Tour Master has switches to shut off the chassis batteries and house batteries. I am wondering if its better to turn the chassis batteries off while we are camped for a long period of time? Or are those switches just for storage? I just bought new chassis batteries and want them to last as long as possible. I know I'll have to reset the clock etc. when I switch them back on, but that's not a big deal if it extends battery life.

    Remote Entry

I have a 2006 Gulf Stream Tour Master with remote entry on the entrance door. We have only one programmed transmitter for the door. We have two more transmitters that I can program to work the door lock. The manual says to press the valet switch 3 times to begin programming. The valet switch and a light is supposed to be on the dash, according to the installation manual, but of course they aren't. I figure the are with the control box for the opener. But, I have no idea where it would be. Anyone with a Tour Master know where they put the control box for the keyless entry?

    OBD Port

I called freightliner chassis and the technician told me that I have a 9 pin connector and I saw that under the dash near the steering wheel shaft while I was looking for the OBDII. There is also one in the engine compartment. I then found out that scanguage now makes a scanguageD for diesels with both a 9 pin and 6 pin connector on it. I ordered one from camping world for $153 with free shipping. Looks like I'll have to sell my scanguageII. Love these forums.

    OBD Port

I have a 2006 Gulf Stream Tour Master on a Freightliner chassis with a MBE. Does anyone know if there is a OBD port on the diesels and if there is, where is it? I have a scan guage I used on my gasser that I'd like to use on this.
