  1. Tip: If you do not want to receive notifications of replies to posts that you reply to, check off the green box at the lower-left of the reply box. Manholt: I never get bored, and I don't drink coffee.
  2. There is a sufficient number of topics and posts on this subject so ... voilà! A Motorhome Insurance forum has been created: http://community.fmca.com/forum/128-motorhome-insurance/ Thanks for the suggestion!
  3. I've asked our website host to escalate this issue for a resolution. The updated email addresses are in our system; they're just not carrying over to your forums accounts. Stay tuned ...
  4. We experienced a database issue this morning that affected login for a short time. We're working on getting the feed back up.
  5. The reputation system isn't new -- it was announced five years ago: It just wasn't widely used.
  6. I adjusted the notification settings. You should receive notification only of "New content for things I follow," if you have selected that option. But please check your settings. You might need to close your browser and come back, or refresh.
  7. I have altered the notification settings. Let me know if the problem persists. Thanks.
  8. If you liked someone's post, you could click the arrow to award them a reputation point, reflected by the hearts number. Ideally, key contributors who post valued, reliable content would have a higher reputation. Users could award points for content they like, giving recognition to the original poster. There are two reputation methods we could use: "Like this" or the up/down rating system. The reputation feature seems to have created more confusion than benefit, so we have removed it. Perhaps we did not introduce it properly to begin with. The + box, as I said in a previous post, is for quoting multiple posts. Click + box for each post that you want to quote, and then click the "Quote _ post" button (which will appear) and it will insert the quotes into your reply.
  9. Post count is still on your profile. It's under "Content Count." Signature has been enabled. Try to limit signatures to a reasonable number of lines. Members can always view that info on your profile.
  10. The +1 or -1 was for a question-and-answer format that activated for some forums during the upgrade. It has been deactivated, and we've reverted to the standard discussion format. The "plus" symbol box is for quoting multiple replies. Thanks, everyone, for your comments and patience. I will continue to tweak some settings, based on your feedback.
  11. You still can send someone a Private Message anytime by hovering over their display name and clicking "Message." Or, you can click their display name to go to their profile and click "Message" there. See the attached screen captures. You can also view/send messages from your inbox when you click the envelope icon at the top right of your screen, next to your display name. See the attached screen capture.
  12. Yes, Who's Online, as well as Forum Statistics, have been added to the bottom of the Forums home page.
  13. You seem to have all sorts of adventures. Looking forward to hearing about your summer travels.
  14. The initiator of a blog makes the decision on whether comments to that blog are moderated or auto-approved. Said another way, there is no FMCA "moderator" involved. In his blog settings, judgbobk has chosen to "Moderate All Comments," as TBUTLER indicated above. judgeobk should have received email notification that comments awaited approval. In case he's not aware, I will send him a PM to let him know that he can change his blog settings by: Under his username drop-down menu at the top right of the screen, select: -- Manage Blogs -- Options -- Manage Settings -- Where is says, "Approve Comments Posted on Your blog," change the setting to "Auto-Approve All Comments."
  15. There may be issues on some mobile models until we upgrade our forums software to the latest version, which is fully responsive on mobile, tablet, desktop, etc. The update will happen in the near future ....
  16. Yes, you have to click the search button at the bottom of the search form. The other search pertains to the RV Marketplace, a comprehensive directory of FMCA commercial member campgrounds and product/service providers.
  17. This link should take you to the Directory, when signed in: http://www.fmca.com/members/membership-directory.html
  18. Sounds like you have some malicious software running on your computer, and this malware is "hijacking" your browser. Search the Internet for various anti-malware applications (free and paid) that can remove the existing malware and clean your system. Good luck.
  19. What operating system and Web browser are you using?
  20. It's the forum feed on the FMCA.com home page that cycles through the 10 most recently active topics.
  21. If it bothers others, we can disable that feature. (Referring to the forums feed links on the FMCA.com home page.)

    Editing A Post

CKEditor is the forums' default text editor. There may be some compatibility issues with some Web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 11. That could be why you are experiencing issues.
  24. View New Content appears to be working. It provides me with a decent picture of unread content -- New since last visit, Past 24 hours, Content I have not yet read, etc. Anyone else experiencing issues?
