This is my 2nd post on this. I also towed a 2006 LX Civic autiomatic trans for over 20,000 miles. I had no problems. Once I towed for 2 days with out going thru the gears and the battery did die. The Civic now has 120,000 miles and looking for a new toad.

I towed a Honda Civic auto for 20,000 miles across the US, behind a 32' Southwind. The car now has 120,000 miles and no trans problems. In 06 before I bought the car new I called either AMco or Remco and at that time they sold a warranty for the Honda Civic to be towed. I asked how long had they sold the insurance they told me 5 yrs and had only fixed 4 in that time. SO I didn't get the insurance and followed the normal procedure of going thru the gears, it worked great. Looking to get another Honda auto and called the transmission company and they no longer sell the insurance that was 8 months ago and still looking for a new toad.
