  1. <p> </p><p>Well, I have not met one single RV repair place between El Paso and Guerrero (Mx). I had to import pipes and more for waste tank.</p> <p> </p> <p>So if you know a source in TX it might be the best having one unit shipped from there.</p> <p> </p> <p>Also I would need some guidance / assistance with selecting the correct replacement. The data on the label is low.</p> <p>To connect a replacement I need to know what is what on connectors.</p> <p> </p> <p>thanks</p> <p>__</p> <p>I did a search on the internet for the Travelaire Owners Group. Here is what I found:</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong> <a class="bbc_url" href=" title="">Internal 120 V Power System Diagram - <strong>Travelaire</strong> - FMCA ...</a> <img src="https://ixquick.com/s/white/graphics/star.gif" /> </strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Welcome to one of the friendliest and most informative motorhome support ... <strong>Travelaire</strong> <strong>owners</strong> <strong>group</strong> - I had no idea such groups exist. 2. Travelaire owners group - I had no idea such groups exist. Convertor data attached, in *.zip. Allanson, D30 BRA-E. Battery water level - negative, I have to figure out whether the battery can be opened without damage. allanson convertor MH TA.zip Done (uploaded 182.40 KB) Add to Post | Delete should I add a zipfile to post? allanson convertor MH TA.zip
  3. Supply is 115 vac. Engine is off. RV battery is 13 - 14 volts. I don't know whether it is dry. The Battery is 6 month old, deep cycle. The described effect itself seems new to me, it is not stable*, indicating bad contact somewhere. I did not notice it =>6 month ago. If Travelaire was wired correctly by mfg how could the distributed voltage at the interior lights be higher than the battery's voltage? *Not stable: Sometime the voltage is higher than the battery, sometimes it is <= . The latter would indicate proper conditions at the time. Is there a source for diagrams / schematics ? Thanks for the welcome .. :-)
  4. A different word for this switch is a change-over switch. Current goes to/from way1 or way2. It does not go way3, never mind distorted language in the trade. :-) you can build your own led circuit: Buy raw LEDs e.g. at an electronics components store. Check spec's for LED voltage (it is somewhere between 2 and 3.5) and maximum LED current. Assuming 12 vdc you can use 3 LDs 2.2vdc in series or 2 LEDs 3.3 vdc in series, plus one resistor. The remaining voltage needs to drop over a simple current limiting resistor, or something more elaborate like an electronic current limiter, where needed. At 15 vdc the current should not exceed the maximum specified in the LED specifications. I use LED's as indicators for power sockets. Example calculation for 10 mA and 2.2 vdc LED using the relationship 1 volt 1 milliamp 1 kiloohm. 12 vdc will force 12 milliamp through the 1 kohm circuit (resistor). If I subtract the LED voltage from the 12 volts the current will drop to about 10 ma. This current is a little high for my 10 ma LED's, so I shall use the next available resistor value of 1200 ohms = 1.2 kohm. This value avoids overload of the LED at 14 vdc charging battery voltage. If you know / sorry / can apply Ohm's Law and circuitry you are qualified for the task and don't need above "formula". When you buy the LED make sure you ask which wire goes to positive. Else your damage probability is >=50% times the number of LED's hit by accident.
  5. Hi, My Travelaire c-class on Ford was built around 1978. I recently discovered that the 12 volt DC line goes up to 16 ... 18 volts. There is obviously a basic wiring error in the system else it could not happen. = poor installation practice. It might help me very much if I could get a diagram of the power system, to figure out where the 12 vdc leads are supposed to go, then discover which one is loose somewhere. The loose one messes up voltage regulation, I suppose. 115 vac is ok. thanks. Similar, but different: I had to rewire the Onan 4kw generator control circuit as wires were bad there too. Comparably easy, only 5 wires from panel to Onan. Does this forum have a library of documents? I made a circuit diagram of my Onan control, not a copy of the © manual.
  6. I need an external antenna but still want the internal antenna to be usable. I don't want to loose internal! Question: How to avoid messing up existing internal wifi system Computer: HP Powerbook 4535s, Win7HomePremium 1) Internal wifi setup Wifi sources: 2 mainly, 1 each at different locations 2) Connection is a little slow and sometimes complicated ( I did not find out how to preset the 2 sources t o connect automatically, only 1 of the 2 is in range at same time. Now the bigger case: 3)I want to use an external wifi adaptor with a directional antenna (for open networks too). The coax cable (M-connector) will be short for low RF loss, the USB will be several meters ( x3=feet). Problem: 4) I do not know how to make it easy for me to change wifi between internal and external adaptor. 5) I do not want to break the internal wifi antenna system. I want an easy selection between internal and external antenna. 6) At this time only one of 2 wifi sources will need an antenna selection, internal or external, dependent how close the computer is to this wifi source. The directional antenna is not moved close to the source. 7) I want to make it versatile: Computer start - build internal wifi. Allow selection [or automatic connection as said above in (2)] of source. When the external adaptor is connected I want the system to go for this source or at least offer easy access to my choice. I accept delaying plugging in of the USB adaptor of the directional antenna until Win7 is up and running. Where can I find guidance? What would an experienced person do? A diagram is attached with links to the hardware. Thanks. http://h10010.www1.h...8225.html?dnr=1 wifidia.pdf
