That is ok I am confused a lot anyway. I think what you are trying to do is gain information on how to take care of a diesel. You said you knew gas engins, well diesel is not that different. I would shift more towards maintenance. That to is pretty simple. I think Brett is right on the money. Bill
  2. Welcome to the forum. I don't think short periods would be a problem. It would be the longer sustained periods might be a problem. BILL
  3. Have you looked at https://www.campgroundreviews.com/ The park is hear https://www.gtlc.com/rv Better yet have you made reservations yet? May be to late already. By the way welcome to the forum. Please add your RV to your signature, it will speed better responses. Like this, what is the length of your RV I see some fairley big coaches and the website says they have sites capable of handling 45 foot. Bill
  4. May be just me but couldn't get the links/thumb nails to open. Bill
  5. Didn't come with remote fobs you could just buy remote fobs and program them on your 2000 E450. Should work. Bill
  6. Typical Texas weather. It was in the hi 60s low 70s yesterday with tornadoes, hail, high winds, and flash floods. This morning 32 and a dusting of snow. First measurable snow in 3 years. Ok so it is supposed to be in the 70s again by tuesday. I bet Herman saw more snow because he is further north. Bill

There are months worth of watching how to anything diesel on youtube. Also see what jleamont has to say. Bill
  9. Why are you going to Mexico for Cataract Surgery? Bill
  10. Are those deep cycle? I run group 31 start batteries. Ok, just how much do you dry camp? I went back with Duracell Golf Car Battery - Group Size EGC2 at about $125.00 each because I don't dry camp that much. The price of the Li batteries are coming down maybe they will get cheap enough later on. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. Bill
  12. Check all connections for continuity. Many problems from not having a good connection. I kind of remember a earlier post about bad connections being a problem. Bill
  13. Ok, will Your RA deliver olive oil if you need it and it is an emergency? Bill
  14. But who is really watching to insure it is "Extra Virgin"😂 Bill
  15. We nominate you to be the forum expert on that. Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum. Not familiar with that company. What other makers have you looked at? I would do some searches looking for complaints/problems linked to this manufacture. True all companies will have people who complain, but it might provide some insight. Bill
  17. I don't have a place to carry a spare, so I don't. Some find room for an unmounted tire in their storage bays but I don't have room. So I will just keep on keeping on. I agree that you could do as good finding service now days. But the RS service has a list all ready and knows the area. I do recommend that if you don't like the answers you are getting from your RA to do some checking on your own. Now let's start something about "What oil is best?" That can run for 8-10 pages of replies. Bill
  18. I still want to know where this one is. Bill
  19. " Am I reading this correctly?" Well maybe not. When a mecanic gets into the truck and heads out on a service call (to change a tire) there is a base charge. What RA covers is the first part. If you need a tire that is extra. If you just need a tire I would not have it towed. I recommend going to the website and reading what is included. https://www.fmca.com/fmca-rv-roadside-assistance Interesting, a search brought up some numbers on what a base service call cost. National Average Cost‎: ‎$95, Minimum Cost‎: ‎$50, Average Range‎: ‎$75 to $125 Maximum Cost‎: ‎$300. So if you have a problem it will probably save you some time and aggravation. Glad you posted, Made me check and renew my RA. Did you know they have an app now. Bill
  20. Don't know, apparently they have been getting by for a few miles. Never heard of anybody getting stopped to be measured. Bill
  21. That is a good possibility. One more thing is it won't run without 12V power for the controls. I had a problem onse (well I have had more than one) when I had no 12V from the battery. I had to have the main engine running to provide 12V power. Amazing what does not work without 12V power. Looking forward to a report on what the problem was. Bill
  22. Can you get a delivery? or how far do you need to drive to go get it. Hate to say it but this is where an extend a stay would be good to have. Bill
  23. Welcome to the forum. That is strange it won't start unless the main engine is running. I would do what Joe recommended and call Fleetwood tech support for advise. Have you tried holding down the switch that connects the battery banks when you try starting the generator? Have you tried to start it from the switch on the generator? Bill
  24. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Yes like Herman said Roadside Assistance Only pays for the service call anything past that is on you. So if you need a tire or more that is extra. Now if it isn't just a tire you will have the option of having them send a mecanic or having the rig towed to a appropriate shop. Keep in mind you only get one. So if the mecanic can't fix it and you need to be towed the cost is on you. Best recommendation read the fine print. Because the plans do varey. Bill
