Semi-retired. Enjoy water activities(live on Chesapeake Bay), RV'ing, renovating/repairing homes
  1. I use "horse stall" pads. the pads are 1/2" rubber and are groved on one side to shed water. The cost is $25.00 and can be purchased at Tractor Supply Stores. The pad is larger enough to cut for all six tires (4 individual pads). I use any time that I park for a week or more.
  2. When connecting to shore power, I recently experienced a 15-minute delay waiting for power to energize my motorhome circuits. When I first experienced this, I began checking breakers and testing for power at the pedestal. Everything checked OK, but a loud sound from the generator area (like slapping your hand down hard on a table) was reported by someone outside. The delay has ocurred several times, but I have not heard the slapping sound again. When I turn the generator on everything operates normally. Is there a switch/relay that will accept 110V from either the generator or shore power but not both?
  3. Will be crossing border in early September and traveling with two Jack Russells. I would assume shot records are required, but are there any other problems/restrictions?
  4. I own '07 Prius and utilize tow dolly, which is approved by Toyota (4-down is not). If anyone discovers towing Prius four-down, please advise. The Prius tows great on a tow dolly.
  5. I own an '07 Prius and tow with Tow Dolly. Toyota allows this arrangement, but not 4-down. I would love to tow 4-down. If anyone discovers an acceptable solution please advise.
