  1. Thanks again Herman, I just saw some kind of marking on the studs on the hubs and I cleaned a couple off of the dirt and grime and there was a number 8. You confirmed the grade 8. Thanks very much. jp
  2. Thanks Herman, I asked the wrong question, I need to know the Grade of the 1/2 X 20 bolt/stud on the hub for the axle attachment, to determine the torque value. Thanks jp
  3. I have a 2004 Safari Cheetah and would like to know the torque value for the axle to hub 1/2 X 20 bolts. jp
  4. How do I get tires with a date stamp of less than 3 months old when I use the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program? The man (ED) with the Michelin Advantage Program, 888 532 6435, told me there are no provisions for me to request a low time date stamp when I order the tires. He also told me the time on a RV tire starts when the tire is installed because the tires are stored in a controlled environment at their warehouse. Has anyone had this concern?
  5. Update 4th update---July 21, 2015 3rd transmission burned up. Found out at South of The Border RV Park on NC/SC border. Rented a Tow Dolly in Hamer SC and towed car to Fairway ford in Burgaw, NC and they confirmed TX was burned with melted plastic thru system. Update on Battery running down after 6 hours of towing. Did some troubleshooting and found out the instrument cluster was drawing about 5.5 Amps when car was in tow configuration and after 6 hours that is 33 amp hours of draw on a 37 amp hour battery. Installed a switch in place of the cluster fuse and open the switch when towing. No more battery problems and no thanks to Ford who did nothing to solve issue. John Pridgen
  6. Gary, I received your email and I tried to respond by my 2 email accounts and got this reply "Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out." Call me at 321 267 0066 and I will hard copy mail drawings to you. John Pridgen
  7. Homesteader, the road side mirror was knocked of my 04 Cheetah and the 1/4" lag screws striped out the holes in the fiberglass. I purchased 4 1/4" X 20 screws, nuts, lock washers and fender washers, drilled out the holes to 1/4" and mounted the new mirror. I was able to access the back side by pulling out the generator and removing some of that foam stuff behind the mirror base. I have the as built drawings for the mirror on my coach from Vel-Vac and will email the to you if needed. John --- jep8n@bellsouth.net
