  1. We bought a 2000 Winnebago Brave in 2008. I started writing a trip blog on our first trip along the Lincoln Highway and it naturally became Winnie in the blog. People so enjoyed our travels with Winnie that the name stuck. Not very original, but it worked. Vince & Sue Kranz
  2. I have a 2000 Winnebago Brave 33V. The rear leveling jacks go down but do not fully retract. I had the coach in for service recently and the dealer said the jacks needed to be replaced. Estimated cost ~$1,000. Has anyone replaced them on their own? How difficult is it? I haven't looked yet under the coach yet to see whats involved, but I'm guessing that ti's not much more than removing anchor bolts and disconnecting the hydraulic line and then reversing the process and bleeding the hydraulic system.
  3. I have a similar question for a 2000 Winnebago Brave with the Chevy 454 Vortec (7.4 liter). It's ~21,000 lb GCW. Does the Banks system (air intake and exhaust package) work in improving horsepower and gas mileage?
  4. LynsayPilotFlyingJ Two comments on your post. The situation on discounts is not clear in NJ. I've been to the same PFJ site in NJ three times. The first time late last year or early this year, I was told that the discount does not apply to NJ since they can't sell gas for less than the posted price. The last 2 times I've purchased gas at the RV lane, once in my car and once in my motorhome, the discount was automatically applied. Has there been a change in NJ regulations? Pump $ cutoffs for MC, Discover, AMEX Auto/Car & RV Lanes = $75. I've not experienced this at any location along the East Coast since all PFJ sites require you to go into the cashier and estimate how much you are going to buy on the card. I've purchase from $10 to $150 on American Express. I've always had to go to the cashier for credit purchases of gasoline since the merger.
  5. You may want to check out Ebay for a tow dolly. I bought a 2008 TowMaster last fall for about $800. It was in perfect conditon and have gtten my money's worth our of it in about 6-months. I saw the same cost for renting a tow dolly from U-Haul for a trip to Florida. Neither of my cars can be a toad, so the tow dolly has worked out great.
