  1. I am selling my Fleetwood 33c loaded, moving up to a little larger MH was wondering where the best place to list it would be. thanx
  2. 34 ft. Fleetwood towing 2013 jeep wrangler at a average of 70 mph..... 7.8 mpg with 5 Star Tuning installed.
  3. DOG, THE DIFFERENCE THE X3 IS QUITE NOTICEABLE AND I DO BELIEVE YOU WILL BE SATISFIED. I TOOK THE PLUNGE AND WORKED WELL THROUGHOUT MY MOST RECENT JOURNEY...MTS. HILLS AND THE FLAT HIGHWAYS. THE PEOPLE AT SCT WILL WALK YOU RIGHT THROUGH THE INSTALL PROCESS,MY ONLY REASON FOR STARTING THIS FORUM WAS TO LET THE GOOD PEOPLE OF FMCA KNOW ABOUT A PRODUCT THAT WORKS. ONE OTHER THING BEFORE I AM CORRECTED FOR USING ALL CAPS I AM NOT SHOUTING MY HAND ARE A BIT CRIPPLED UP AND SOMETIMES ITS JUST EASIER,SAFE TRAVELS BOSTON BERNIE
  4. Herman,I have read your answers to many questions and respect your intelligence. But increasing your speed or rpm as you say is not always possible and usually not. I installed the 5 star tune and as I stated it is not * magic* you still must know your coach and its capabilities.Experience is a major key also...........that being said I have NO stock in the company but having installed it I know it works and that is why I I sent it out to the members.Welcome to 2016
  5. A month or two ago I had asked about any one having a opinion on the 5 Star tuning chip for the V-10 engine. I received mixed reviews of opinions pro and con. I personally did research on what it does or what its capabilities were but needed some support either way. Well anyway I took the plunge! I have a 34ft. Fleetwood 2013 towing a Jeep Sahara 4dr. We load accordingly and are on the road for 6mos per yr. We have been RVing for 10yrs. starting from TT to our present motorhome. Now that the stage is set....I could not be more pleased with the 5 Star. No longer when you approach a little rise in the road do you immediately down shift, or in your transition of Mts. descent to incline is again banging down to a lower gear is gone. This alone eliminates road fatigue immensely. I do need to clear something up...this is not magic you still have know your coach and its capabilities always keeping in mind safety first. I also gained approx. somewhere in the range od 3/4 to 1 mile per gal. OK...OK we all know that this was not made through the Mts.!!!! SCT is the manufacture and the customer service is **************across the board. There is a set-up according to your coach which they gladly walk you through it or will take control of your computer and do it for you. Once plugged in the rest is simple. OK yes its a bit pricey $395.00 but the advantage is in your court. The unit is worth its weight in gold in the Mts. alone. This may not be for everyone or the guy who just gets out there on occasion but for me especially pulling a toad through a lot of Mtn. areas its the nuts. I also did not try to figure out how long it would take to pay for itself.......the reward was worth it. Safe Travels BOSTON BERNIE
  6. I HAVE A 2013 33C FLEETWOOD WITH A DOMETIC VACUFLUSH TOILET,NOW IT IS WORKING BUT JUST RECENTLY WHEN FLUSHED AND REGENERATING A VERY NOTICEABLE THUMPING SOUND AROSE. I HAVE READ SOMETHING ABOUT LOOSE SCREW ETC..VERY MUCH IN NEED OF SOME ADVICE. THANX IN ADVANCE! Also what would be the location to access the problem
  7. Hey great thanx for the input, the chip cost is $500 but in the v10 if it even senses a incline it down shifts. The pulling power seems fine in the Mts..(as long as one of the site see r's don't jump in front of you) but as said it does wear on the tranny.I have done some research on the 5 star brand and they are not a fly by night company, but the jury is still out on whether to spend the $500 . I am leaning towards it though. I welcome and respect any and all in put, thanx a bunch Boston Bernie

  9. I OWN A 2013 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER AND AM CONSIDERING BUYING WHAT IS CALLED 5 STAR CHIP TO ADD TO MY V-10 ENGINE. IT HAS BEEN FEATURED IN A FEW MOTORHOME MAGAZINES AS A REPUTABLE PRODUCT AND ITS CLAIM TO FAME IS FEAR NO MOUNTAIN.I AM NOT MECHANICALLY INCLINED AT ALL {NOT STUPID EITHER} I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAS TRIED OR HAVE PURCHASED ONE. IT IS USED TO BOOST THE CLIMBING POWER WITH OUT DOWN SHIFTING ON EVERY SMALL INCLINE.ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, THANK YOU BOSTON BERNIE

MY WIFE HAD STARTED UP THE RV TO BRING IN THE SLIDES AND WHILE LETTING IT WARM UP A BIT WE HEARD A SNAPPING /ARCING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE AREA. LISTENING CLOSELY I WAS TRYING TO PINPOINT WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM AND WITHOUT WAITING LONG I WAS JUST ABOUT TO TELL HER TO SHUT IT DOWN!......AND IT STOPPED. WELL I MUST HAVE STARTED IT UP A HALF DOZEN TIMES AFTER AND NOTHING. WELL UP JUMPED THE DEVIL I WAS ALONE BACK IN OHIO AT THE STORAGE YARD I STARTED IT UP JUST TO DO SO, LET IT RUN A BIT AND AGAIN THE SAME SOUND. KEEP IN MIND I DID RESEARCH TO SEE IF ANY FUSES WERE BLOWN OR ANY THING ALONG THOSE LINES AND NOTHING.AGAIN IT STOPPED AFTER SAY 2-3 MINUTES. I THOUGHT ABOUT GOING DOWN AT NIGHT WITH SOMEONE INSIDE TO START IT AND SEE IF I COULD SEE AN ARK. HAS NOT HAPPENED AGAIN SINCE.
