  1. IronHorse Rv Resort, Elko, Nv. It was very interesting to us how this park operates. They charge a $5.00 non-refundable deposit. We made a reservation to stay at their park and unfortunately we were sideswiped by a fire truck in I-80 about 30 miles west of Winnemucca, NV. They refused to refund the $5.00 and said they could have charged us for the whole night because we canceled with their 72 hour policy. Nothing was said when I made the reservation the day before (which was not 72 hours before our stay) about the $5.00 being non refundable. It is not the money, it is the principal of it. I even emailed them pictures of the accident. Just beware if you plan on staying in this park.
  2. If you go that way, keep your speed down as the Carson Spur is winding and an avalanche area during the winter. So you have steep cliff on one side and a drop-off on the other. We lived up country from Jackson for 13 years. It is a pretty drive; just don't be in a hurry. It is all two-lane with a few passing areas. Some of the road is steep and some is a long, slow pull. I don't see a problem.
  3. Thank you everyone for your information. Because I still have not heard from Michelin, we are going with Good Year. The dealer is giving me the tires for $10.00 less a tire than I could have gotten Michelin with the FMCA discount.
  4. Couldn't talk to anyone live. Had to leave a message and they will get back to me in the next 48 hours....Not very consumer friendly. Thank you for your help.
  5. I am having a real issue with Michelin tires. I live in Las Vegas and there are 3 tire companies that carry Michelin tires. The problem is they all tell me they are back ordered and have been for awhile. They have no idea when they will get any. I have a 2008 Monaco 40 ft that came with Good Year tires and have serviced us well. I just don't know seeing I can't get Michelin tires which seems to be the tire to get, if I should just settle for Good Year that are in stock. My other issue is we are going on a trip next week that we can't get out of and because of the extreme heat here we are afraid that our old tires might just fly apart. Can anyone give me a kind of comparison on the Good Year vs Michelin.
  6. We just purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, as we wanted to flat tow our vehicle. So we ordered a mopar wiring harness from the dealer and had it installed. There was an issue with the harness, so the dealer contacted the mopar tech. When the dealer got off the phone with the mopar tech he said don't forget to disconnect the battery or your wiring harness is useless. My issue is if we disconnect the battery will our Patriot Braking System still work. Does anyone know if it is true that you have to disconnect the battery and if so where do you connect the braking system?
