  1. WOW- I have never seen such fancy golf carts. One of the teachers I worked with visited the villages near North Carolina(I think) and was impressed. I have been meaning to message you for a while but-- some of us are still working. LOL Glad you are having such a great time. I love reading your stories and seeing the pictures you attach. It hit 50 degrees today and lots of the snow melted. Spring may really come this year. I uncovered the 5th wheel and put the battery in so I could start cleaning her up in preparation for warmer weather. Looking forward to hearing stories when you get back. Dan
  2. Sounds like you are having a great trip! I don't think Melvin would have enjoyed those stalagmites, so it's just as well you left him in the back pack. Ruthie - Do you know where in VT Uncle Freddy worked for the CCC?
  3. Hi Guys - 2 questions: 1. Which house was Edison's and which house was Ford's? 2. Was Oscar just as excited to see you the second day when you picked him up from DDC? I'm just wondering if he has a girlfriend, really loves DDC, or really missed you ....maybe all 3? J
  4. So glad you steered clear of the alligators; poor Oscar would make a tasty treat for them!
  5. Hi Guys WOW! I would love to spend a couple days at a show that big. Sound like things are going well and you are adapting to the rv life style quite well. 80 degrees and sunny vs cloudy and 30 degrees here. Love reading your stories. Dan

Hi Guys! So glad to hear you made it back to Gracie and all is well. So love reading your blog...except that it makes me hungry! Is Melvin with you? Judy (and Dan!)
  8. Congratulations Ruthie and Jon! So glad you passed your driving class. Mr. Bergeron must have cracked up when he realized you were from Bradford! Dan is interested in knowing what you learned in driving school. Enjoy the beach!
  9. So happy to hear that Melvin is back! That silly monkey - hiding in your backpack! The cars are nice, but I loved the picture of the sand-snowman. That's a keeper. Have you had your driving lessons yet? Happy travels ~Judy
  10. So glad to hear you are back on the road! Looking forward to traveling with you via the blog. Judy and Dan
  11. We had a great time, too!! And we all learned a very important lesson together: When life give you lemons, go back to the donut shop!
  12. It sounds like you have had such a mix of great experiences and trying experiences. Hopefully the great outweighs the trying in the end! We loved Cadillac Mtn, too. You were lucky to have a beautiful day up there - it is often foggy. I hope you brought a popover back for Melvin!
  13. Oh My Goodness..... It sounds like you guys have overcome quite a few challenges over the past few days! So many lessons learned, huh? Just listen to Melvin; he's your guardian angel. See you soon! Judy and Dan
  14. OMG - How terrible for poor Winnie! Let that be a lesson for all of us.... always check the faucets and toilets before you leave or go to bed!!! You guys are going to have so many interesting stories to share when we meet up!
  15. I remember reading about the explosion of the munitions in 1912...didn't that play an important role in WWI? Gotta love a monkey in a uniform! The flowering trees are beautiful ~
