  1. Just tried the Verizon Jetpack now with FMCAs deal. Tried for 2 days to set up an account after I received it. Nobody knew what to do. Spent 2 afternoons on the phone mostly listening to music and then a trip to my local Verizon store. Ended up they wanted me to drive 30 miles to a corporate store to try to set up and account . Not worth my trouble, if you sell me something have a way to use it.
  2. It seems to me every time I used the Good Sam Extended Warranty it cost me money anyway. $50 deductible and every part was not covered for some reason. TV switch, door latch. A lot of things they did not believe were bad (shocks). It was a used MH less than 2 years old but it had some problems, I guess I should have figured out why it was a good price. I just replaced it with a coachman a little bigger and I will use their warranty and then self insure.
  3. I used Good Sam extended warranty when I bought a used MH (only 2000 miles on it) in 2015. Cost $2400. Every problem was not theirs. The parts dept and the service dept are different companies or entities or something. Sales is also broken out separate. You can't go back to the salesman because he works for a different company then the parts or service dept. Every problem I had cost money and the MH a Freedom Elite 23 U was a piece of crap. It rode like a military tank. The doors and drawer opened at most bumps, plastic water fittings broke banging into each other the ride was so bad. It was a Ford E 350 chassis and I think they sent the wrong one to the factory and nobody noticed it. It had over 1 dozen leaf springs in the rear. When I mentioned that to CW service they said it must be right. The would replace the latches in the cabinet and closet doors. and then charge me for that. When I took it for service the part was never covered for some reason so I paid the deductible plus the part cost. I finally trade it, I took a few thousand loss but at least I have a MH I can use. Nver again CW or GS. Had GS Insurance too, the quote from Progressive on the new one was half.
  4. I had GS extended warranty when i bought my previous MH from CW. The MH was used with 2k miles. It was junk. Made by Thor for CW Freedom Elite 23'. Every time I went to CW with a problem it was a different company. Sales does not talk to service and parts dept is separate. My first problem (no warrantee on used) I took it in for TV cable switch. I had to pay the $50 deductible and the switch was not covered for some silly reason. So I basically paid the whole bill. I also complained about the ride it was really bad worse than a Willys Jeep. They said they could not do anything about that. The doors all flew open, the micro wave plate would fly out. They replaced the latches on some of the doors, you could get them n Walmart. I found a local RV mechanic and he shook his head and said he never had one that rode like that. He put shocks on it and took about 6 spring leafs out and it improved it a little. Cost about $1000. Finally traded it for a slightly larger Coachman class c and will not by any extended warranty, I will pay as I go. I will never deal with CW again. I am a lifetime GS member.
