I have a 2017 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 38K and am having trouble identifying a suitable toad that will leave me a realistic amount of cargo weight for our travels. My wife and I are not full-timers and travel pretty light compared to a lot of RV'ers we've seen but I would still estimate our cargo needs to be in the 1,000 lb range. The Pace Arrow has a UVW of 26,782 lbs, GVWR of 32,400 and GCWR of 33,000. I estimate that our loaded weight (water, propane, black, gray, occupants) less cargo would be 28,054 lbs. That leaves us with only 4,946 lbs for a vehicle and our stuff (cargo, toys, etc). We'd like to buy one of the new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawks and their curb weight comes in at around 4,100 lbs. Anyway, I'd really like to hear from fellow Pace Arrow 38K owners who are towing a vehicle 4 down and the type of toad you have. If you think my calculations are way off I'd like to know where you think I might be wrong.

After 3 years we're almost on the road again! Sold our 2005 Cat power Renegade garage unit in 2014 after getting past the motorcycle traveling and moving to our next adventure. I looked at two used Fleetwoods yesterday with my 6 yr old grandson (Papa, are you getting another sleeper truck? - don't you just love that?) Our plan is near travel with 3 days overnight to the many parks in SC GA and NC. The first was a 2008 Terra 36T w/ 47K miles Chevy 8.1 with Banks Power reduced to $49500 from $55,000 and a 2006 Pace Arrow 36D Chev 8.l Workhorse for $62,500. Both @ 45K miles and in working order as per dealer/owner with great references. I'm inclined to think the Terra would be the better buy but exterior is not shiny like the painted Pace Arrow. All things equal to me I though I better reach out to the more experienced FMCA family for advice. I have a 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow motorhome with the thermostat RV comfort control.zc. I am having nothing but problems. I take it to a RV dealer and they sell me a new one. I'm on the 3rd one and still it will not work will/not switch zones. I call the manufacturer -- no help there. Reading on other forms, I am not the only one experiencing problems. This is what is happening -- play with it for hours then I get the air to work and this is not too often. Park the motorhome, next trip out same thing. Does anyone have a idea of how to solve it? Will the Hunter thermostat work with 2 air conditioners, 2 furnaces and a heat pump in the unit? Been fighting with this for 4 to 5 years. What I have paid could have replaced the air conditioners and furnaces with something that works.
