manholt Report post Posted October 26, 2017 Quote Viva Las Vegas. Had it really been in LV, Nevada...I may have come out there. CA., Traffic ? Nope!
BillAdams Report post Posted October 26, 2017 This rally is likely one of the best FMCA rallies of the year. It's well run, it's in a great location and it's done at a great time of year. If you are anywhere nearby and chose to pass due to traffic I can't imagine what would make you attend a great FMCA rally. Many folks head from this rally to the "happening" in Quartzsite a week or 2 later. While I don't get the whole QZ thing, it's a very well attended event as well. Don't knock the Indio rally if you have never attended. We loved going year after year after year.
wolfe10 Report post Posted October 26, 2017 Riverside is one of the eastern-most communities in the LA area. So, for those coming from the east, anyway, traffic should be a non-issue.

wajames Report post Posted October 29, 2017 Did we mention Ice Cream? Huh? Huh? Coachella Valley and Quartzsite are huge snowbird havens, so most of what traffic there is will be RV's. We get thousands of folks staying local attend the Rally on Day Passes and Passports. And there are 5 or 6 casino's in range.
srive1 Report post Posted December 13, 2017 to Manholt in Galveston, Texas Unfortunately you have misjudged the geography. The Riverside County Fairgrounds for the Viva Las Vegas event are 145 miles from Los Angeles, 30 miles east of Palm Springs. Indio is a great place without excessive traffic. Coming west on I-10 is an easy drive without hitting any of the Los Angeles boon-doggles. Weather for January is typically 70 to 75 degrees daily and 50 to 60 at night. Occasionally the temp gets down to 40 and I believe that twice in the last ten years it has been as low as 30.
