Winterizing For A 3 Week Stint At Service Center

Recommended Posts

My motorhome is going to a service center for 3 weeks for warranty work in November. Some of the work may involve plumbing. Should the motorhome be winterized for this short stint. This service center is located near Cincinnati, Ohio.

YES, unless they plan to keep it inside the entire time.  I would recommend the "blow out method" rather than anti-freeze if they are going to be doing plumbing work.  You also might want to check with the service center to see if they plan to do this for you since the plumbing lines would likely need to be clear of water to preform their work.

Pazahora,

Welcome to the FMCA Forum.

Agree with Bill.  Were it a week or 10 days,  you could get weather predictions out that far to enable you to make a considered decision.

Three weeks-- no way.  Not worth the risk and worry.

The temperature will drop to 24 over this weekend along the great lakes from around Cleveland East  to Watertown  NY and below that at higher elevations. So  having a coach stored outside over the next few days, one wants all the water and any items that you do not want to freeze removed ! Canned goods, Coach washing soap,  waxes and polishing supplies, Water bottles, canned tea and soda canes.

Rich.
