hermanmullins Report post Posted January 16, 2018 Welcome back John, We go through KC at least once a year. But have not looked for a park in KC. We always go to Overland Park and overnight in the WalMart parking lot. It is located in a very nice and safe area very similar Frisco. Have you gone to www.rvparkreviews.com ? wildebill308 Report post Posted January 16, 2018 I would look at some of the casino's in the area. Get the app Casino RV Parks. Bill
obedb Report post Posted January 16, 2018 Might work/ Casinos in KC Metro. Spent some time in casinos there, but I was trucking. Completely self contained.😎
richard5933 Report post Posted January 17, 2018 Not quite in Kansas City, but there is a nice state park in Lawrence KS with hookups.
tbutler Report post Posted January 17, 2018 Campus RV in Independence, MO is where we frequently stay. It is a small park with concrete pads and full hookups at a reasonable price. Sites are all back in, no pull through sites. The obligatory railroad is not far away if you like to sleep to the sound of the occasional train! It is kept clean and the management has always been friendly. You can walk around the downtown area just as Harry S Truman did years ago! The Truman presidential library isn't far away. FMCA discount. Definitely get reservations, city parks can be busy for any number of festivals and other events, holidays, weekends, etc.
wildebill308 Report post Posted January 17, 2018 Yes, Campus is a real gem. We have strayed there when visiting the Harry S Truman home and Library. Bill

mypopslou Report post Posted January 19, 2018 We stayed at Walnut Grove Campground last year in Jan, Feb & March. It is off of I-35 and Johnson Drive. A very basic campground that does not even have picnic tables but owners are very nice and location is good. Almost like a parking lot with hookups but it worked for us.
