BILLYBAUDOIN Report post Posted February 5, 2018 2000 allegro bay Ford V 10. Interment when turn key , nothing happens. Keep trying and finally will turn over and starts. Starts right up. jleamont Report post Posted February 5, 2018 BILLYBAUDOIN, Welcome to the FMCA forums! How about this solenoid/relay? Was this replaced? The small terminal is from the ignition switch, sending power to starter (large cable lead). If you can duplicate it its easy to test with a 12v test light or volt meter. campcop Report post Posted February 5, 2018 Could be as simple as cleaning the terminals.
hermanmullins Report post Posted February 5, 2018 Billy, First, Welcome to the Forum. Looking at your picture, which by the way is very good, the terminals look like they could stand a cleaning. I would remove the ground cable on the chassis battery. (remember to reconnect it when thru cleaning) Then one at a time remove the wire and or cable from each post or terminal. Clean them to bare copper. I say one at a time so as to not cross any wires. If this helps Ho Raw. If the issue continues you most likely have a solenoid that is on its last leg. It's trying but is about to die. A replacement would be in order. Please let us know what you find. Good Luck. Herman

jleamont Report post Posted February 5, 2018 Billy, those in the photo look like the house solenoid and something else. My gas coach had two also, one was for the salesman switch in the doorway don't remember what the other one was for.... Ford always are round just like the photo, (unless replaced by someone) to be sure follow the battery cable on the starter up, it will be at the end of it. Since it was an incomplete chassis when Tiffin got it who knows where it ended up. Glad to help

jleamont Report post Posted February 28, 2018 Glad to hear! One thing when chasing components, you familiarize yourself with the rest of the stuff that can go wrong. Helps later on...well hopefully no more problems...
