High winds? When do you pull over and sit it out?

I have fought east bound winds when heading west and on  the return trip west bound winds when headed east.

Story of my life, if I stopped when there was wind, my coach would be on blocks in a trailer park

If I have learned anything about the wind, it is that the wind doesn't like me or my motor home.  No matter what direction I am traveling I will have a Head Wind or a Cross Wind. I can't remember the last time I had a Tail Wind. I am not sure (yes Bill it is spelled "Sure") :D , I would know how to handle a Tail Wind. :o

Exactly. Fair winds and following seas would truly be nice.

Timetraveler..is this a typo?

22 mpg in a 39.5 foot coach?  Sounds way too good to be true..

We had 70-75 mph tailwinds. You might remember the news about the big winds and being so dry  that year, 2011 I think. We had been to kids, in Az and headed to Rally in Henderson Kansas. I'm not sure the winds were exactly that strong, the second day on the last leg in Oklahoma to Kansas.

Jim S. 76mph=CAT 1, not 73.  That's strong Tropical Storm.  Still not buying it.:wacko:

I don't have an anometer on the coach. The figures were from local radio stations .
