Wayne that is a heavy load to endure. Hang in here buddy.

My DW was treated for C-diff(special antibiotic) and after her colonoscopy and upper GI, was declared cured of C-diff and given a clear diagnosis for everything else. She has gained 4# in the past 2 weeks, now weighs 96#.

It's gonna take a long time for her to safely get her weight back up to 120# minimum, where the Dr,s want her.

It is a good time of the year to gain weight. Most are trying not to over the holidays. 😊

Gentlemen,

For the past year I was Earlene's caregiver. She was weak and barely able to walk using a walker. As a caregiver I was not just attending to her needs but doing all that a woman/wife does around the house.  Ask you beloved to set on a couch and not do anything but to direct you on what needs to be done, and do it for a week. Don't forget to do all that you need to do and in many instances go to work while doing those things.

For the second week do it all over again but this time put a 9 pound wiggly baby on your hip.

Get up from your computer and go give her a hug! She deserves it.

I am glad you didn't have any problems. But I have read about many people that did. Now on the outher hand I have talked to people that told me they are getting better milage and more performance with the DEF/DPF engines. I believe the makers were able to crank the performance back up some with better emission control.

Merry Christmas everyone!

My wife is doing better; sale of MH is on hold while we wait and see in the spring.

Glad to hear that DW is doing better.

Belated Merry Christmas to all, and a prosperous, safe, and healthy New Year

==================

One coach pre-DEF, one DEF. Never noticed any difference except having to fill the DEF from time to time, and on the coach the tank was the last bay (service battery) fo the coach which made it slightly more difficult.

My dear wife of 63+ year passed into our Lord's hand October 28, 2024 and one week prior I sold our loved MH.

Wayne, I know you'll cherish all the memories you made;  stay the course my friend. You have my cell phone# whenever you need an ear to listen.

Last Sat. DW and I attended a breakfast at the American Legion post. We contracted something, now we are both down with a deep cough and fever. DW is worse than I am. We're treating  the symptoms as if its COVID19_again.

Glad you are doing better. The news talks like there is only one flue/covid virus out there. I did a little looking and the CDC reported that in the last week of last year there were over 1254 viruses reported by public health laboratories.

Hoping everyone gets through the season without catching anything bad.

It's RSV. Look it up, it's highly contagious and easily transmittable, more so than COVID-19. There is no cure, it just has to run it's course.

The vaccine doesn't prevent one from contracting the virus; supposedly makes it milder.  I guess now is the best time to be down with something, we got 3" light snow today, followed by a rain/sleet mix for a few hours.  It began snowing heavily about 21:30.

I had my tractor ready for pushing snow, loader bucket on, yard box on 3-pt hitch, fuel tank full. Then I needed to move some heavy timbers last week and switched to the pallet forks, got sick and couldn't put bucket back on,  now I can't switch back because of this darned RSV, and my heart rate is running between 43 -55 BPM. DW is sitting on me like a mother hen.

We're nearly over "the crud'. Now that we're feeling good again we have so much snow we can't go anywhere. The state and county had the highways in good shape, so it snowed again all day Friday and into Sat morning-snowed in again.

We've gotta make a grocery run, plus I'm about out of Kerosene for my garage torpedo heater. I do have a slight case of cabin fever...
