New ATS

Recommended Posts

I am installing a new ATS which has a different wiring configuration than the original. The cord from the panel is not long enough to reach the new ATS wiring configurations. I thought of using a junction box or putting a plug on the end from the panel and running a wire from the ATS with a plug. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I was thinking the same. Just not sure what kind of terminals to use. I would think something more than wire nuts. It is 50 AMP.

Terminal strip is a good idea as long as it is enclosed in a connection box with cover to prevent accidental short.

Totally agree.
