0 manholt Report post Posted December 16, 2019 mh3860sh. Welcome back! On the beach? Wash coach every month or so, top, sides and under chassis. Fog is fog, like any place.
0 wolfe10 Report post Posted December 16, 2019 No question, parking right on the beach or within a short distance of salt water is corrosive. As Carl said, washing well, particularly underneath will help. Probably no more harmful than driving on salted roads up north.
0 txiceman Report post Posted December 16, 2019 We do not normally take our RV close to the coast. last winter. We were in a coastal city with salt water and marshes on 3 sides for 3 months. We rinsed and washed the RV every other week and we still suffered some corrosion. All of the key locks had to be worked and oiled. Other aluminum and chrome items suffered some pitting. The Winegard batwing had to be replaced as the internal circuit board had corrosion. We will not be spending any time that close to salt water again. It is not worth it.
