creativewoods Report post Posted February 23, 2020 I have a 2001 National Islander w/330 Cummin ISC. The ATC dash light came on and stays on now. You will need to determine (or take it to a shop for diagnostics) what ABS/TCS system you have and see if there is a way you can retrieve fault codes without expensive diagnostic equipment in order to proceed. Traction Control System is used to prevent wheel spin from occurring due to acceleration. ... The major difference between an ABS and a Traction Control system is that while ABS stops the wheel from spinning while braking, Traction Control stops the wheel from spinning while the vehicle is accelerating. Both systems use the same wheel sensors. The model year coach you posted could have a air over hydraulic type system. The traction control system could be activating because of low hydraulic fluid. Should that be the case, the ABS light cumming on could also start coming on. How long has it been sense the hydraulic fluid been checked or replace? If you have hydraulic brakes. The problem could could be in the air system, if that system is in need of repair. Moisture in the air system or even an oil buildup from the air compressor could come into play.
