Previous dolly had Hydraulic surge brakes..Now bought a enclosed trailer that has electric brakes and dealer seemed to know nothing about electric surge controllers. Had that on an earlier small camp trailer! Use various vehicles to pull this trailer and would be nice to have brakes without making any changes to the vehicle! moodierr@netscape.com Report post Posted June 3, 2010 HI; In reviewing my previous post guess didn't make myself to clear in the explanation! What I am looking for is a surge applicator for the brakes that mounts to the trailer and not operated by remote as are most of the ones I can find. On my old trailer it was just a box that sat on hitch of trailer and only had a 12 volt lead to it. Much simpler set up than the ones they all seem to sell now days!
