Class C motorhome - tire purchase and installation

Recommended Posts

Can someone recommend a garage that has a lift for a 30’ class C motorhome in Greater Cincinnati?  I live on the west side of town, but it is no problem to travel to the other side of town.

Thanks!

C-928382, Welcome to the Forum! :)

Is this for installation of tires, or something else?

Most of us MH owners think of a lift as something that you would drive on to lift the entire vehicle off of the ground. Most tire shops are able to do this with an automobile. Very few can do this with a class C or A motorhome. But most shops that sell tires to fit these larger vehicles can do so with a jack that only lifts one wheel at a time. I think that the lift question probably has caused some confusion amongst readers. A better question for better responses would be, "Can someone recommend a garage that sells and installs tires for a 30’ class C motorhome in Greater Cincinnati?" Good luck hunting.

Check out listings for commercial tire dealers near you. They may not have a 'lift', but as mentioned above all they need to be able to do is change the tires and all commercial tire dealers will be able to do that.

Thanks. It’s for installation and tire purchase if the facility can do both.

First, welcome to the forum. What size tires are you running? If you are running 16" tires that greatly increases the places that can handle your tire purchase. If over 16" you will need to find a more commercial type dealer. who has the equipment. There is no need to lift the whole RV off the ground to change the tires.

Let us know what you find out.

Bill

Depending on the brand of tire, size over 16", any Love's, TA, Petro, Flying J and Pilot, truck stop, sell and install tires....Most popular choice is, Handcock, Yokahama, TOYO, BFG, Kelly and Continental.

Last but not least are the Class C motorhome tires. ... weigh the motorhome, or how to tow it, you'll need to consult the vehicle owner's manual.
