Flooring update to our 20 year old National Dolphin

Recommended Posts

New to FMCA, not sure how we just found this group but happy we did.

Here are some before and after photos of what we did to our RV.  We were blessed to find this 1 owner very well taken care of 2001 National Dolphin (spent 19 years in a heated shop in OH and only left it 1 time a year for a 2 week trip to Canada).  It was 100% original, I am NOT a carpet fan and especially carpet in the bathroom but around the toilet...so it all had to go.

Can't wait to get to use our new improvements for the 1st time this coming week in Perry GA.

What we did:

  • Took down the mirrors in LR and Kitchen
  • Tile backsplash in kitchen and bathroom
  • new black pulls and hinges
  • removed carpet and hardwood floors and replaced with LVP from Costco, New 1/4 round
  • removed carpet in entry and replaced with LVP and mats
  • Rebuilt the toilet (to ensure the seal is good)
  • New Kitchen and bath faucets
  • 2 new TV's
  • Removed headboard
  • Replaced mattress

We enjoyed doing the work, let us put our personal touch on a perfect RV.  This is our 2nd Class A, our 1st was a Damon Daybreak (no slides) we never knew we needed a slide until we purchased this one...how did we live with out 2 slides...guess we were roughing it ;)

Ted and I are semi retired, we own rental homes in IL and real estate firm in IL and GA.  We reside in Georgia and own a software company based in GA.  Lucky for us all of our business allow us to travel at our will so the last 3 years we have done some traveling.  2021 we plan to do ALOT of traveling, our kids are all grown so its time to enjoy the lifestyle.

Hope to meet some of you in Perry!

Looks Great!  This is very similar to changes we want to make to our RV. We purchased a one-owner 2001 American Eagle in 2017 with a dated decor.  We have been gradually upgrading/renewing since purchasing, but especially since retiring at the end of 2019. Began with the basics: new tires, new heat pumps, new electrical system, new batteries, all new day/night shades, window treatments, and a complete paint job.  It has two slides and the floor plan is for two old retires.
We were in Perry in 2019 and heading back there next week…hope to see you there.
