To Clarify, The Canadian land border opened back up on the 9th for all American vaccinated general travelers.

The US land border remains closed to all Canadian vaccinated general travelers at the moment.

No word on when the US will reopen it's land borders to Canadians as of yet,.

Yup - lots of people forget that an international crossing consists of TWO borders, each with its own rules and regulations and patrolled by a separate border patrol.

I am hoping that the US will open it's land border to vaccinated Canadian travelers really soon.

We really miss traveling and visiting with our friends to the south!

Its amazing how we've chosen to close our northern border while our southern border is wide open with confirmed Covid cases allowed into the US. I guess you Canadians wanting to visit the US should fly to Mexico and simply walk across the border. Forgot your passport? No worries, you'll be welcomed. You'll be bused to one of the catholic charities where you'll be given money and a bus or plane ticket to anyplace in the US you want to go. There is one requirement, you have to promise you'll return in a year or so for your court date.

Enter the US from Mexico?

No, the US land borders are still closed to Canadians for general travel. This includes all land border crossings including Mexico and Alaska. Even includes sea ports.

I thought Canadians were allowed to fly out of Canada you just couldn't drive out. If so, fly to Mexico and walk across the border. Mind you, you may get your feet wet but you can easily enter. For a few dollars the cartel will bring you across in a boat so you won't get your Gucci's wet.

It's not leaving Canada that's the problem. It's arriving to the US via a land border.

Any chance we could continue this conversation without the obvious political overtones? Would be nice to maintain an area in life where we can discuss things like RVing without having to hear political comments.

I've read this 3 times, so has my wife and we have yet to read or see, any "political overtones!"

Thanks, Carl. I was only trying share the facts of whats going on at our Texas border since its not broadcast on the mainstream media by pointing out the difference in how easy it is enter the US on the southern border vs the northern border. Heck, you don't even need a passport to come into Texas from Mexico.

I hope you don't turn it into a political message, Richard.

Unless I'm wrong, the same rules apply to both the US border with Mexico as with the US border with Canada. A passport is needed for both, and entering without one is not allowed at either.

The thread is about entering Canada. Not sure what bringing up the problems with people illegally crossing the US/Mexico border has anything to do with that. Not trying to make it political, but nearly every time someone brings up illegal crossings at the southern border during a discussion of the northern border it's to make a point about how the current administration is handling things. If you meant something different by your comments, then I didn't get what you meant.

Misinformation that is politically motivated is getting in.

I don't see any Misinformation that is politically motivated, I see facts. By the way I have talked to two different couples who have been to Canada on Humanitarian visas(death in the family) in the last 2 weeks and didn't have any problems. So maybe things are loosening up.

All depends on which news sources you watch.  Try ones other than NewsMax, OAN and FOX.

Why? I just said I talked to people who had crossed the border. Why are you trying to make it political?

Tell you what, I cannot stand this fake news that is being pushed here, so I am cancelling my membership on this forum and will cancel FMCA when the membership runs out.  I was not after you Bill, just unfounded news.

Regarding the topic of border crossing, just do a search on the internet until you find what you want to hear, It is all out there for whatever beliefs one may have.

Let's listen to the Canadian members of this forum for information on the Canadian border.
Take your pick!

It would be nice to keep the Southern border out of the Canadian border thread. We all know what is going on with borders...or we think we do,
