FMCA Membership/Spirit Hot Spot

I was going to sign up for the Sprint Hot Spot but I have less than year left on my current membership.  I hit the renew button and seems that you can't renew your membership if not due for renewal.  I ht the Tech Connect link at the bottom in red states if you need to renew call membership phone number.  Come on - you sign up for FMCA online so why can't you extend your membership online?

I had to call in and the lady at membership had to create an invoice for me to pay online.  I guess you have to justify you job some how.
