powering tv while traveling

Recommended Posts

When I had our Journey the tv plug had 2 wires going into it that was ignition sense. When the ignition was on it turned off tv. Basically sending 12 volts to a circuit in the plug which shut it off. Cut one of the wires and all set. Im not sure if they still do it that way but its worth checking out.

Bob I deleted you second posting on this same topic.

If you can pull your TV you will find another receptacle behind TV. One is only hot with the key in the off position while the other is hot with the key on or off. Plug the RV into that one.

Just so you're aware of the law, its illegal to have a video screen viewable by the driver while moving in most states.

39:3A-1. Television set with screen visible to driver of vehicle prohibited
It shall be unlawful to operate upon any public highway in this State a motor vehicle which is equipped with or in which is located a television set so placed that the viewing screen thereof is visible to the driver while operating such vehicle.
