Gilbert Report post Posted May 8, 2009 I am Gilbert Davis and my partner is Brigitte. We are both retired from our lifetime jobs. My wife from public health and myself from the trades. My wife does some part-time consulting in the health sector. I drive a school bus. We have owned many motorhomes and truck campers over the years. This is my first diesel, and it is a bit under powered on the steep hills. It will drop to approx. 60 kms. on long steep hills while towing my truck (5,500 lbs.) Sometimes I have my M/C in the box (600). I have an Allison 3000 series transmission. I live with it because we travel in no rush. I've been told that a Banks will not be worth the money for what I get. Thanks! Gil
f58342 Report post Posted June 2, 2009 I have a 12valve 5.9 Cummins with both a Band intake manifold and turbo charger. In addition I replaced the fuel plate in the pump and installed larger injectors. I have the HP set at about 300HP even though this setup will produce up to 375HP.
