SW of Canton, OH is the town of Mt Eaton where Evergreen Resort is and is a Good Sam Park. US 30 W [past Canton & Football Hall of Fame] to US 62 S to US 250 & make a right and it is a few miles up the road. Amish Door Restaurant is nearby, as well as the Amish areas of Sugar Creek, Walnut Grove & Millersburg on SR 39.

If going to Gettysburg, PA Drummer Boy Campground [Rts 116 & US 15] or Artillary Ridge [closest to Battlefields], as both can accommodate larger units.

Stop at General Picketts Buffet or Tommy's Pizza for lunch, near Battlefield & museums. South of Gettysburg on US 15 just over the Maryland line is the National Firemans Museum, Elizabeth Seton Shrine [a must see] & Mountain Gate Family Restaurant [takes you back to the 50-60's era].

For Williamsburg, VA American Heritage RV Park is just off I-64 [exit 231-A] and you can then go to Historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens & the Water Park from this RV location.

You can do each location in a minimum of a 4 day stay.

Enjoy

Eileen

I'll second Artillery Ridge CG in Gettysburg. It's only 1/2 mile from the park entrance. Gettysburg is a must see. We took the full Self Guided Auto Tour.

I have family in Central MA, East Brookfield, and we have traveled that way many times. Also, my son was stationed at the War College in Newport. Although we did not stay with the MH in that area, we did look around. If you don't have pets, then the closest, and as far as I'm concerned the only nice RV Park in that area, is Second Beach RV. No Pets. Wide open and close to the beach. No shade.

If you don't mind a 20 mile drive to visit Newport I would suggest Fisherman's Point CG (State park) near the Block Island Ferry. We drove through it and we liked what we saw.

We take I-84 out of New England. We also will take the Deleware Water Gap route, don't know the exact road number off the top of my head, and go South from there.

As for Buffalo, I assume you are wanting to visit the "Falls." We stayed 20 miles from the Falls at Niagra Heartland RV Resort, a Passport America CG for $15 a night plus Electricity (which still totaled less than $20 a night using PA) Very quiet and restfull.

Dan,

In our travels, we have stayed at the Lake George RV Park in Glen Falls. Nice resort, a little hilly, but there are some nice level sites down by the paddle boat lake. They have a movie theater and comedy/magic shows. If you venture out try eating at Sutton Place.

Outside of Buffalo, in Oneida, is the Turning Stone Resort, on the Oneida Indian Reservation. It's a beautiful place to camp, and they offer a shuttle service from your site to the casino for entertainment and fine dining. Check out their web-site for coming attractions.

Whenever we visit Lancaster, we stay at Country Acres, in Paradise PA. It's right off of US 30. The full hook-up sites in the back are very nice, wide and level. It is convenient to the outlet malls. Plenty of places to eat. If you go into the downtown area check out Fireman's Hall.

Have a safe & wonderful trip.

Mikie
