jandmpfeifer Report post Posted May 3, 2011 We were the guests of a camping time share at Radium Valley Vacation Resort in Radium Hot Springs in B.C. Four camping units (3 motorhomes and one fifth-wheel) were assigned camping spots at the above resort. These camping spots were across the street from a huge pile of debris from their spring clean up. The day before we were going to leave for home the park manager decided the pile of debris should be burned because the burning time was over at the end of the month. We pleaded with her not to burn this pile as it would fill our units with smoke, fly ash, and burning embers, as we were leaving the next day. She was intent on burning the debris, not caring that we had been placed in harms way. When ask why we were assigned those spots, while others in the park remained empty, there was no answer. The pile of debris was lit and we were forced to leave a day early. The management of this park really does not care about customers. John Pfeifer
Guest BillAdams Report post Posted May 4, 2011 You should post your review at http://www.rvparkreviews.com While you will be in the minority, this kind of treatment needs to be brought into the public eye. There may be new managers or the managers might have just been able to stay under the radar somehow. Post what you experienced and maybe others will remember some of the things that happened to them. The park you refer to specifically: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/British_Columbia/Radium_Hot_Springs.html
pattie1tom Report post Posted May 4, 2011 I agree. Share your information anywhere people will read or listen. There are enough people around the country that read reviews prior to visiting a site that it is important that we feel comfortable evaluating the different locations. This is super important when we are far from home and need the advice of others to help guide us. However, if you do choose to review, remember to go back and review in the positive manner for another location so these sites don't become just a location to vent frustrations.
