Replacing Carpet

We have recently replace the carpet in our living/dining area with laminate on our 04 Cayman and are wondering what adjustments are required for the slide out, if any??

Welcome the Forum.

If you have had your slide both out and in and you have no marks on the laminate, you should be ok. As you go down the road have someone look at the bottom of the slide and look for too much bounce. If you see some you might want to adjust a little, but if there isn't too much bounce you should again be OK.

We want to replace the carpeting in our Beaver Patriot with ??? We may also be looking at a new seating. Is there anyone on the westcoast that you could recommend we use? Any recommendations as what we use to replace the carpets...at least in the living room area...and whether is is worth ripping up the tile in the kitchen and bath areas?

There are some excellent, good looking ceramic tile "look-alikes" that are not too heavy such as Congoleum Dura Ceramic: http://www.congoleum.com/res-products.php?product_line=duraceramic

You would have to get down on your hands and knees to tell it is not real ceramic tile, but weighs only a fraction of what ceramic tile does and is much less prone to cracking. Be sure to use a flexible grout.

I've heard some good things about Allure flooring. It can be picked up at most Home Depot's or Lowes. Some one on another forum had some pictures of their do-it-your-self, and other than their own labor it was about $600.00.
