Multiple TVs through a box

Recommended Posts

We recently had a slimline dish installed on our 2006 Damon Motor coach. These were new additional line that were included in the coach. We have a box that allows three TV to view cable, ant, SAT or DVD/VCR with the selction of a button. Unfortunately the dealers can get the everything to work just the direct TV. I manage to get the wiring reset so that the ANT functions, Cable TV and the DVD player but I am unable to get the Direct TV to function even though the dish is locked onto the satelite. Any suggections or expereinces?

Check to make sure the output of your DirecTV receiver is attached to corresponding input on the video selector. The coax cables from the sat dish must go to the DirecTV receiver and the output from that receiver (coax, RCA, Composite, HDMI, DVI, etc) that would normally go to the TV now goes to the Video selector.

In my attempts to connect either the roof dish or an external dish to my Directv receiver, I found that the receiver input needed to be attached directly to the dish feed, not through the switch box. Apparently the switch box interferes with the satellite signal. So the receiver output can then be fed through the switch box to one or more tvs.
